Re-cap Of Last Months Shows

Hey, Ed here… Just wanted to let you guys know that all of our shows over the past month have all been an extreme success and we couldn’t be happier.

We played university of wisconsin on february 5th and we had such a great time playing for and hanging out with all of the students there that came out to the show. They really know how to party and welcomed us with open arms.

The next weekend we played Wilmington High School. We may be a little out of the age range of high school students but that didn’t stop us or the crowd from having fun. So many of the kids came up to our merch table after the show either to buy a shirt or just to chat. It was truly relieving to see so many kids at a show and to see that they were so into supporting music. Paul’s parents also came out so it was great for me to catch up with them. Such sweet people! You should talk to them if you ever see them at a show.

And last but not least… Lebanon, OH. Talk about a booming and TALENTED music scene. We had the pleasure of playing the grand opening of a new venue in Lebanon called The Venue. Amazing crowd turnout once again, and the kids were so into the music! We made so many friends at that show and extra thanks to Jade Chandler the owner for everything he did for us that night. Truly a great guy and that can be rare to find in this business sometimes.

We have had some great experiences over the past month and we don’t plan on slowing down soon! We will have some new dates posted under our “Tour” section of this site soon so look out for that. We also know that graduation parties are right around the corner. Need live music? Contact us at everywakesdream@gmail.com. Thank you so much for the fans that have come out to shows. It means the world to us! Until next time.

University of Wisconsin Show

We played U of W-Madison this past weekend and had an absolute blast. Big thank you to everyone that came out to the show and hung out with us. We had a great turnout and we had a great time hanging out with everyone when we weren’t on stage. Madison is a great city with a lot to offer. This Friday we will be playing at Wilmington High School in Wilmington, Illinois. We can’t wait to play for those kids out there and to have a great time making new friends. Remember to follow us on twitter so that you can get updates about us. We love talking to you guys so don’t be shy about tweeting us back! www.twitter.com/everywakesdream. Thanks for everything guys.

Welcome!

Hailing from the booming music culture of Chicago, Every Wakes Dream brings something different to the table. Through their variety of songwriting, the acoustic duo has a song for every mood. From up-beat pop songs to slow ballads, Every Wakes Dream has a song for you. But when we speak of these two musicians, we can not only praise the two albums they have already released, but we must also take into consideration their live performance. Every Wakes Dream grabs the attention of every audience member and takes them on an emotional journey throughout the show. With a live performance like this, it is no wonder that they have completed two successful Midwest tours and have plans to conquer the nation.
Every Wakes Dream was founded in the fall of 2009 by Ed Wimp after playing in a number of bands in the Chicago music scene. This solo project, at the time was started in hopes of alleviating the scheduling conflicts and difficulties of coordinating an entire band. Wimp continued solo for the next 9 months and put out the EP Becoming the Wave and completing a Midwest tour.
In June of 2010, Paul Anderson joined Every Wakes Dream making it a duo. The addition of Paul added a nice variety to the songwriting and his style fit right in with the direction that the project was going. Anderson, previously being a drummer for the Chicago based band So Many Ways had a different approach to the creative process which added tremendously to the success of Every Wakes Dream.

A big question has recently been “what is the meaning of the name Every Wakes Dream?” The official explanation from Ed Wimp is that “it represents the stage that we are in life right now. A wake is a small wave by definition. The wake symbolizes where we are right now in life. My dream is for us to grow and to be a symbolic “wave”. Therefore, the name Every Wakes Dream represents wanting to achieve your goals and become something so much more than where you are right now.” Paul Anderson’s hopes “that Every Wakes Dream can stay true to its name and inspire others to be the best that they can be and to never let go of their dreams.” With big aspirations it is sure that Every Wakes Dream will become the wave that he is setting out to be.
